About Us

History of the Uniting Church in Australia

In 1977 the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational Churches united to become a truly Australian Church – the Uniting Church in Australia.

We cherish our Christian heritage of 2000 years.

And we have a future which we invite you to be part of, as we continue to serve people of all ages in the community of Clayton North.

As a culturally diverse Christian

Community

Monash Uniting Church congregation

commits itself to celebrating,

proclaiming, and demonstrating

in its life and worship,

God’s love for all people

and our oneness in Christ.

Our church community is welcoming and hospitable, a place where people from many nations are able to celebrate the richness of their cultural heritage and differing theologies and backgrounds.

Whilst recognising this diversity, we also seek to pay our respects to the First Australians of this land, the Wurundjeri and the Boonerwrung people, from the East Kulin nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet.

We invite you to join us in God’s mission to the people of North Clayton and the wider community.
